BUXTON 'SPAWATER' SWIMMING POOL

This is an amenity of which the Victorian Spa town of Buxton is immensely proud. In a picturesque setting, on the northern edge of the 23 acre Pavilion Gardens it is clear, pure spa mineral water, not only brilliantly blue but therapeutic, unique throughout the UK in its inherent properties. It is the only mineral water that can with comfort be used at its natural temperature for bathing purposes.  

The pool boasts a 25m x 12m main swimming pool of l metre to 3 metres in depth, holding 140, 000 gallons of spar water, whilst along side sits a smaller teaching pool 7.32m x 8.89m of 0 meters to .9 of meters in depth, holding a total of 9,7000 gallons of this clarity water.

Initially known, as the spectator’s gallery there is now an activity suite/tone zone, with a thriving step and aerobics exercise program, karate, bowls, concerts and meeting facility. Tel:0298 26548.
